Achieving a sense of hearth and home was the focal point for the Dinkle-Spencer residence. Situated atop a sprawling promontory it features a 120-mile view of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The design challenge was to define and enclose space while emphasizing the powerful, majestic environment; one which includes elk, deer, moose and an occasional bear. The careful positioning of the key living spaces allows one’s view to flow unimpeded, while creating spaces that are intimate and warm, whether finished in indigenous rock or subtle textures.
