Hidden amongst the lush landscaping of the circular drive, Merlin the Magician offers a first impression of the playfulness and whimsy characterizing this home. The idea of sanctuary played heavily into the design, allowing for the creation of a private zen garden with a wall of orchids and a flowing waterwall at the entry.

The design also needed to embrace and accentuate the clients numerous sculptures and paintings. Each space within the structure features multiple views of art and the outdoors through adjacent rooms, creating a sense that the house is floating in a sea of light.
